New Auto Reform Changes Coming in Ontario!Effective September 1, 2010, the Ontario government is introducing significant reforms to the auto insurance system, in order to provide you, the consumer, more choice over the coverages and price you pay for insurance. These additional accident benefit choices will allow you to customize your policy to suit your needs. Please contact your broker to discuss these changes and how they may effect you. We are here to help! | | | Winter Tips!A few things to remember during the winter heating season: if you heat your home with wood, be sure to have your chimney and pipes cleaned regularly to avoid fire or smoke damage; if you plan to be away for a few days, be sure to have someone check your home daily to avoid any claim problems with damage caused by water escape as most policies require that the heating be maintained and daily checks on the home if you are away for a few days; keep your roof clear of excess snow to avoid collapse and damage caused by ice damming; and remember to drive safe! | | Is your home heated with oil?If you have oil heating in your home, there are new regulations concerning oil tanks, lines and chimneys. Please contact your fuel oil supplier for further details - you may be affected!
